about the muddy boot organic festival

The Muddy Boot Organic Festival will be held September 10-12, 2010 on the
St. Philip Neri Church campus at 2408 SE 16th Avenue (near 18th & Division) in Portland, Oregon.

The annual Muddy Boot Organic Festival is an outdoor festival celebrating local organic foods and sustainable living in Portland, Oregon.

Under the sunny skies of early September, people from the Portland area will experience a vibrant and enriching event. With live music, beer, wine, and food, you will experience an event like no other in Oregon. The booths, workshops, speakers and children's activities will allow you to share in the experience of living naturally.

mission statement

Our mission is to promote sustainable living practices within our local communities, thereby enhancing the health of our world, our neighborhoods and ourselves.

vision statement

To carry out our mission. we envision a community event on St Philip Neri grounds which will nourish mind, body and soul in celebration of sustainable living. This event will include:

  • Vendors of local and organic food and craft
  • Workshops and educational forums on living sustainably for the whole family
  • Live music and entertainment
  • Open minded space for reflection, sharing and growth as a community
  • Space to explore the spirituality of caring for the earth

By participating, all organizations and individuals involved will agree to respect the diversity of ways in which we can promote sustainable living, and at the same time challenging one another on our paths toward our common goals.

This event will be financially responsible. We seek to make this event accessible to all who wish to participate, and also to aid St Philip Neri Parish's mission and programs.

Thanks to all the recycling volunteers, and all the exhibitors who helped follow our waste prevention plan! We are getting closer to zero waste!
